Impact over flash. Value creation in healthcare and finance.

Revenue Cycle management that works for providers

Impact: Millions in revenue was generated for nutritional counseling providers- from private practice to Fortune 50 retailers- at low or no cost to their patients

Problem: Starting in 2014 nutritional counseling became a widely covered by medical nutrition but providers didn’t have the expertise or tools to get paid. Solution: Built a cloud based health IT solution for contracting and credentialing and revenue cycle management.

Deep learning meets infrastructure poor settings

Impact: Built an open source prototype Optical Image Recognition tool that can be applied to improve healthcare delivery in remote parts of Nigeria

Problem: A team of motorcycle riders picks up and delivers biological samples across locations with limited access to roads and telecom infrastructure. The Riders for Health team relies on paper records to track these samples resulting in hours of data entry work. Solution: The team of data scientists developed an OCR-assisted tool that reads key fields. This prototype tool accounts for the realities on the ground and the limited computing power available.

Data governance for the enterprise

Impact: Built a production ready, HIPAA compliant data ecosystem that passed rigorous external security audits

Problem: Data governance goes far beyond infrastructure and access. We needed a data culture that valued security and privacy. Many of the guidelines were not relevant to the realities of the modern office and working from home. Solution: Developed and implemented an end to end data governance policy that included workforce trainings, monitoring, and testing. The data security became a core of the company ethos.

Clinical Trials Administration

Impact: Developed a predictive algorithm was applied across a national consortium of clinical trials.

Problem: Gold standard measurements aren’t possible at clinical trial field sites. Solution: Built a predictive algorithm that uses inputs available onsite

Algorithms that save money

Policy Impact: Using a random forest classifier a client was able to reproduce and beat an algorithm created by an outsourced dev shop. Saving nearly one million over the lifetime of the product.

Arts Sector Impact: Using a classifier and cost benefit analysis the client was better able to target people who were likely to renew members savings millions in wasted ads

Financial Services Impact: By examining a legacy data system differently the client was able to generate millions in additional revenue.
